Access to a number of shops has been blocked off
Police have cordoned off a busy city centre street. The cordon in Upper Parliament Street surrounds a number of shops and stretches from the junction with South Sherwood Street, near The Cornerhouse, to the turn-off for Queen Street.
The cordon blocks off access to a barber shop called The Cutfather as well as PhoneGeeks, an independent repair shop.vehicle is parked across the road on the corner of Queen Street and Upper Parliament Street. Two police officers are also standing outside the barber shop on Friday morning, November 1.The exact circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. Meanwhile, witnesses also reported seeing another cordon overnight in nearby Wheeler Gate.
