People living where England goalkeeper Mary Earps grew up in West Bridgford have been wishing her well ahead of tomorrow's World Cup final. The Lionesses take on Spain on Sunday in England's first World Cup final since the men's famous victory in 1966.
A spokesperson for the team said: “All of our players and coaches wish Mary and all the Lionesses the best of luck in the match on Sunday. Seeing Mary progress from playing for Colts 20 years ago to playing in the World Cup Final, has been a real inspiration to our players. Last year after the Lionesses triumph during the Euros, a bus was named after Mary Earps. Trent Barton honoured the Lionesses historic win with the bus now serving West Bridgford.
