The East Midlands’ biggest free Pride event will take place later this month
Hockley ’s rainbow road will be repainted in time for Nottinghamshire Pride, a city councillor says. Nottinghamshire Pride is the East Midlands’ biggest free Pride event and is due to take place on Saturday, July 27.
During Nottingham City Council Full Council on Monday, July 8, councillors were informed the rainbow road would be refreshed. Corall Jenkins , executive member for communities, waste and equalities, said: “The council’s LGBT-plus network will also have various internal comms going out to build up to Pride. We will be utilising social media platforms to raise awareness of the event.“Housing services will also have a stall and I can confirm the rainbow road will be refreshed.
“We will also be supporting Nottinghamshire Pride with event and production management support, Cllr Jenkins added.
