The city has some great hidden gems if you know where to look
While Nottingham has some great restaurants and bars in the city centre, there is something to be said for grabbing a great burger at from a street vendor. Several of the best restaurants in town have started their venues as street food stalls before venturing into venues.
Street Food Club is one of the original and best places to grab some grub from up-and-coming chefs. There are several different locations which means you have a choice over which location works best for you but the Victoria Market is where it all began. Some of the other locations are only on certain days so it's worth checking the opening times before you head down.
The market has so far included Prad Thai, Yardbirds chicken and Elcapos Pizza. Traders will change weekly here so expect different menus to sample each time you visit. New traders for October will include Secret Burger Club, Dirty Chicken and Flats Doughnuts.Beeston has become a hot spot for great restaurants and a cracking drinking trail over the past few years. The Garage at Chilwell is a well-established space to start your evening if you are looking for something a bit different.
While there are many different vendors offering street food at the market, it's worth checking out Abeyo Ethiopian cuisine for something different and The Bake Club. Vendors can change with each market so there are plenty of different options available.The Sherwood Vegan market isn't just for those following a plant-based diet. The extensive vegan event has a huge foodie fan base who visit for the chance to grab a tasty lunch.
