A Nottinghamshire property once lived in by the author D H Lawrence has been sold at auction for £91,000. The three bedroom property on Lynncroft, Eastwood, was lived in by the Sons and Lovers writer for a number of years.
Lawrence lived in the house during 1903 until 1908 when he was 17 to 22 years old. It was one of four properties in the area that the author lived in, and was listed by Auction House London with a guide price of £65,000 before being sold for £91,000 after a competitive bidding war. He said: "This house if of historical interest as it is the former home of renowned author D H Lawrence. He apparently lived there from the age of 17 to 22."
