Gedling Borough Council and the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) have partnered to renovate the tennis courts in Conway Park, Carlton, as part of a £30 million nationwide project. The investment will create four new public tennis courts, improve accessibility with new gate access and booking systems, and offer weekly organized tennis sessions for all ages and abilities.
Tennis courts in Nottinghamshire town park are to undergo a major revamp after getting a big funding boost. Gedling Borough Council and the Lawn Tennis Association have agreed on a partnership to upgrade the court in Conway Park, in Carlton.
Part of this development will also include improved court accessibility with new gate-access technology and booking systems. The investment will also see £39,000 invested by Gedling Borough Council, thanks to funding secured from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund . Gedling Borough Council will also work with the LTA, alongside the investment, to deliver a range of activity across the park sites, including weekly organised Barclays Free Park Tennis sessions for all ages, playing levels and experience.
