Lady luck struck not once but twice as two Nottingham casino players won a combined jackpot of just over £50,000 in the last month. A 30-year-old scooped a whopping £36,000 whilst playing blackjack at Grosvenor Casino in Maid Marian Way.
The mystery player, who has chosen to remain anonymous, went there to watch live sport, but after starting a blackjack side bet game of Ace King Progressive, they couldn’t believe their luck when they won the jackpot. The player has already made plans on how to spend their winnings using a large amount of their fortune to pay a year's worth of rent.
They said: "I am still in shock to this day. I am absolutely elated; this is an amazing amount of money and some great news. Never in a million years could I have expected to win this amount of money and it couldn’t have come at a better time as I’m now able to pay off my rent at my accommodation 12 months in advance."A second lucky player struck gold on the poker Royal Flush as they scooped up the £14,000 jackpot.
