She started out streaming via MySpace, putting on gigs right from her London flat, before being scooped up by RCA Records, after which she wowed on the music charts.Her hit song I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker also made waves internationally and was the best-selling single of 2006 in Australia. In a part of the clip, which was later taken down, an exasperated Sandi expressed "Honest to God I'm f**king sick to death of the bulls**t this industry pulls on people like me and I've had it. Enough. I'm done."
