NRL: Penrith star Taylan May has been charged this morning over a domestic violence incident in which he allegedly punched a woman in the face.
Both the Warriors and Panthers are missing big names when they meet to kick off Sunday afternoon’s Magic Round action at Suncorp Stadium.
The Warriors, already without superstar duo Shaun Johnson and Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, were dealt a late blow with ball-playing lock forward Tohu Harris ruled out through injury. Penrith, meanwhile, is missing halfback Nathan Cleary while centre Taylan May was a late withdrawal after being charged with domestic violence related offences.Watch every game of every round this NRL Telstra Premiership Season LIVE with no ad-breaks during play on Kayo. New to Kayo? The Warriors will be desperate to break a losing skid on Sunday while Penrith, coming off a hard-earned win over the Bulldogs, are hoping to consolidate its spot inside the top four.
As if losing Cleary isn’t enough though, the Panthers can’t even call on regular back-up Brad Schneider after he also picked up an injury in NSW Cup last week. It means Jack Cole and Jarome Luai will be the new-look halves pairing, having guided the Panthers home in a nervy win last week.
