Ambulance admitted to neglecting him by failing to provide a safe workplace when the father-of-two took his own life while on shift in 2018.
In April 2018 he was called into a meeting with management and accused of stealing the opioid pain-killer fentanyl. However, while his family says he struggled with the pressures of the job, they do not believe he stole any of the medication. Following a SafeWork investigation into Tony's death, NSW Ambulance today pleaded guilty to a criminal breach of the Work Health and Safety Act.
