NSW Police have successfully arrested several individuals as part of Operation Waratah 2, aimed at addressing violent incidents on Sydney’s public transport network. Offences range from assaults to sexual touching incidents involving trains, buses, ferries, and the Sydney Metro.
Following the launch of Operation Waratah 2 by NSW Police, several arrests were made targeting Sydney's worst public transport offenders. The operation aims to curb violent activities, including assaults and sexual touching incidents, on trains, buses, ferries, and the Sydney Metro. Arrests made include a 44-year-old woman and a 46-year-old man for an assault at Strathfield Railway Station , and a 38-year-old woman from Penrith for an affray on a train.
Police are releasing images of suspects for further assistance in their investigations
