Chris Minns, the NSW Premier, faces scrutiny from the state's corruption watchdog, ICAC, due to his longstanding relationship with Stephen McMahon, who is involved in the redevelopment of Rosehill Gardens Racecourse. The redevelopment aims to transform the site into a 25,000 home mini-city with various amenities.
NSW Premier Chris Minns will be referred to the Independent Commission Against Corruption ( ICAC ) by a parliamentary inquiry over his relationship with Stephen McMahon, the head of corporate relations at Rosehill Gardens Racecourse ’s parent company, the Australian Turf Club. Minns is accused of a conflict of interest for striking the deal with McMahon, someone he has known for over 20 years.
The state government plans to redevelop the racecourse into a 25,000 home mini-city with a metro location, a public park, and new amenities. The ICAC will scrutinize Minns’s relationship with McMahon and the deal’s negotiation
