Number of female high-earners on £160,000 or more leaps 40 per cent in 20 years
THE number of women among top British earners is up 40 per cent in 20 years.
They account for one in six of the 310,000 taxpayers paid at least £160,000, according to an Institute of Fiscal Studies think-tank.very highest earners in the UK, who get at least £650,000 a year, is femaleRobert Joyce, deputy director from the IFS, said: “Women may make up only about 17 per cent of the top one per cent today, but that share has risen from 12 per cent in 2000/2001.”
