Manchester City midfielder Matheus Nunes speaks about comparisons to Kevin De Bruyne, being shocked by Phil Foden, and why he doesn't shoot.
Matheus Nunes put his legacy at Wolves on the line to sign for Manchester City and is determined to make the most of his chance at the Etihad now he has it.
Late in this summer's transfer window, though, City came calling and Nunes forced a move to the Etihad - the manner of which he now regrets. But having taken his contentious return to Molineux on the chin recently, Nunes is only looking at moving forward now, and is plotting his route to regular games in the City midfield.
"He was just comparing one characteristic but the rest you cannot compare," insists Nunes. "That's where he stands out from the others. He doesn't need to speak about it, everybody knows it. He's proven it for years in a row. I want to try and reach as high as I can. I don't want to compare myself to Kevin or Kova or anyone.
With plenty of competition in the central areas, Nunes feels comfortable playing 'anywhere' - from number six, to number 10. "I even play as a centre-back or right back," he says. "It's not my natural position. Everyone knows where I'm the best. But I can do if needed."
