Nottingham Forest head into their final seven games of the season buoyed by Tuesday night’s magnificent 3-1 win over Fulham.
His distribution has generally been pretty good since he came in. Having a player like Murillo in front of him helps, too, because there is no doubt he can pick a pass - he showed that again on Tuesday night. It means even if Sels can’t find the right ball, he can give it to Murillo and count on him to do something with it.
A:Morgan Gibbs-White is a special player, isn’t he? His first half on Tuesday was breathtaking. He was at the heart of everything, pulled the strings and thoroughly deserved his goal. It was great to see him get on the scoresheet because it properly capped a sensational first half from him. He then helped Forest dig in when the second half became a different game.
I agree with singling out Ryan Yates and Danilo for a mention. Danilo has had an up and down season, but that was his best game of the campaign so far. He seems to like this time of year, doesn’t he?! It was about this time last year when he really came into his own. It is a tough call to make. I can definitely see the merits of sticking with the same line-up, particularly as an unchanged team has been a rarity. If Nuno does want to make any changes, it is tough to weigh up who should be left out.
Like Murillo, Omobamidele was seen as a really bright prospect when he signed. It just took Omobamidele a little longer to break into the side. He had players ahead of him at first, and Steve Cooper felt the defensive side of his game needed working on. Cooper knew Omobamidele was a good passer, though.
