Latest Nottingham Forest news as Reds await outcome of appeal hearing over four-point deduction
Head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has hit out at the length of time Nottingham Forest are having to wait for the outcome of their appeal hearing over their points deduction.
There is no set timescale for a verdict from the hearing, but Forest had expected to receive a decision within a week. Having had the saga hanging over them since January, when they were charged with breaking Profitability and Sustainability Rules, Nuno has always been keen to have the matter resolved as soon as possible.
“Thirty would be fantastic because this is what the players have achieved on the pitch. I totally agree, it is a mess, they have had enough time. The Premier League put a backstop date of May 24 - five days after the final round of fixtures for this season - in place for resolving the cases of Forest and Everton as both clubs have appealed against their punishments. However, they recently announced that a decision on the latter would be made public before May 19.
