A Lancashire nurse who kept a stas of drugs at home 'as personal stock' has been struck off following a Nursing and Midwifery Council Fitness to Practise Committee report.

Following NMC guidance, the charge that Norris had been dishonesty was found to have been proved. According to the report, the NMC panel noted that Norris had "admitted dishonesty in creating prescriptions for patients he knew would not receive them." The report reads: "The panel was of the view that in being repeatedly dishonest, Mr Norris had breached a fundamental tenet of the nursing profession, and that his actions could have had serious ramifications for those involved. It considered Mr Norris to have brought the nursing profession into disrepute by behaving in the way that he did."
