Project H.E.A.R.T. is a free residential summer camp and is open for students entering junior or senior year of high school in Arkansas or a Delta state. The program is for students who are interested in the medical field.
Applications are now open for one summer program giving students a behind-the-scenes peek into medical school.
Project H.E.A.R.T. is a “mini medical school” camp for high school students in 11-12 grades in Arkansas or a Delta state. For a second year, Project H.E.A.R.T. will offer a session in Arkadelphia, on the Henderson State University campus, in addition to the traditional session in Jonesboro.“Activities they’ll engage in: they get to dissect a pig heart in our anatomy lab, they get to go through some medical simulations, in our sim lab,” says Pearce.
