Oasis have confirmed a reunion tour this morning. Noel and Liam Gallagher are set to perform together for the first time since 2009 amid speculation of a performance at this year’s Glastonbury festival.
As rumours about their reunion began to circulate over the last few days, some wondered whether the band would also celebrate their return with a performance at Glastonbury. It is the biggest music festival in the UK and the band previously performed there in 1994, 1995 and 2004. Noel and Liam Gallagher are believed to have met in person for a photo shoot over the summer. The brothers have teased an Oasis reunion for weeks after years of public feuding.
Liam previously talked about the possibility of touring Oasis’ second album, What's the Story in its entirety. This was due to the huge success of the Definitely Maybe tour, which saw Liam reunited with fellow founder member Paul "Bonehead" Arthurs on stage.
