Octopus Energy have been trying to help customers by providing free electric blankets

Households across the UK have seen their energy bills soar following the recent price increase on 1 April.

Over recent weeks people have been sharing tips and tricks to help decrease the cost of household bills, and now energy firm Octopus Energy have attempted to help customers by handing out free electric blankets. Electric blankets are an easy way to stay warm while at home, and can cost as little as 28p per hour to run, according to Uswitch.
