Manchester United are reportedly ‘reluctant’ to attempt to sign Harry Kane, as Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy’s style of negotiating could hinder the move.
However, Anthony Martial’s proneness to injury would have meant Marcus Rashford was the only option if they hadn’t recruited in January. With Rashford preferring to play off the left, it’s a good job they did. However, that loan move seems nothing more than a stopgap. While he has been praised for some aspects of his game, the likes of Gary Neville have criticised him, suggesting heVictor Osimhen, Dusan Vlahovic and Kane are among the options it seems United would like to pursue. They have identified issues with some of those deals, though.as he’d be ‘too expensive’ for his age .
Indeed, the Tottenham chairman has previous for forcing sides to pay top dollar when maybe they didn’t want to. As such, United seemingly feel they might be better off not getting into negotiations at all.
