The CLE Youth Justice Collective comprises the ACLU of Ohio; the Schubert Center for Child Studies at Case Western Reserve University, and the Children’s Law Center
Delinquent : Our System, Our Kids is a special project of cleveland.com and The Plain Dealer examining the juvenile justice system through the eyes of the people who have been through it.
The collective is made up of three organizations: the ACLU of Ohio; the Schubert Center for Child Studies at Case Western Reserve University; and the Children’s Law Center, a nonprofit serving Ohio and Kentucky youth. “Without flinching from the harm caused, the series discusses the historical neglect, poverty and trauma plaguing so many of our justice-involved youth, the lack of positive role models, how behaviors and risk-taking escalates and the impact of increasing access to guns,” the ACLU of Ohio said in a May 8.
