Published: Aug. 08, 2024, 5:00 a.m.CLEVELAND, Ohio — The 2024 OHSAA girls golf season has begun. Competitors from all over the cleveland.com seven-county coverage area in Northeast Ohio are trying to swing their way to the state tournament in October.
Last season saw Laurel senior Siena Maschke take home the Division II state crown. In Division I, Highland senior Isabella Goyette finished in a four-way tie for runner-up. Who from Northeast Ohio will try to equal that success? It could be someone from this group, the 2024 Cleveland.com Preseason All-Stars:Gulla finished 18th at state as a sophomore, helping the Knights finish 11th in Division I as a team. Last season at the district tournament she finished one stroke away from a return trip. This spring and summer, in five matches , she placed no lower than fifth. She shot a season best 71 at Fox Den Golf Course.
