A service in honour of acclaimed singer Olivia Newton-John will be held at Melbourne's Hamer Hall on February 26.

The event will be free but members of the public wishing to attend will have to register for a limited number of tickets. "Dame Olivia Newton-John was an inspiration to many around the world — her work in cancer research and treatment saved lives and changed lives and her music was the soundtrack to a generation," he said.
