Hodgkinson claimed a sensational gold in the women's 800m final last night
Keely Hodgkinson enjoyed a well deserved celebration, partying until 2am in a Paris bar after winning a gold medal in the women's 800m final at the Stade de France.

“Being Olympic champion, no-one can take that away from you. It’s the biggest stage ever. I didn’t know what it will bring but I’m better prepared than I was last time. Couple of years older, a bit blonder and all that. We’re good,” she said. Hodgkinson also paid tribute to the female athletes who had helped paved the way, crediting Ennis-Hill and Holmes for inspiring her to victory, before praising the crowd who cheered her on as she raced down the home stretch to victory.
