It's safe to say the Olympic Games in Paris this summer provided entertainment to the nation at a much needed time.The question on everyone's lips remains, just what has made the cut and which events are set to be axed?Breaking - or breakdancing as it is more commonly know, will be no more at LA in 2028.
At present, a 2025 deadline has been set for boxing to prove to the International Olympic Committee it has cleaned up its act behind the scenes. Flag football will be introduced in the US - no surprise there - with the sport drawing similarities to American football and the NFL.Squash is also set to be launched and is a popular sport in the UK, played inside a four-walled court with red lines on all walls.Baseball and softball will make a return at the 2028 LA Games, perhaps due to their popularity in the United States.Lacrosse is a little odd because it hasn't been included in an Olympiad since 1908.
