With 'championship mentality,' Howard's attempting to guide Wings to first playoff series win in Dallas.

“The championship mentality she brings is huge and just the way that Dallas uses her on both ends of the floor,” said ESPN basketball analyst Andraya Carter. “Her leadership role in terms of setting the example of playing the right way, and it’s just that veteran piece for sure that makes the difference. … Natasha has played with some of the best that we’ve ever even known.

“I’m handing over the torch,” Howard said. “Well, not yet, but I’m getting there, and just trying to provide help to the next generation the best way I can.”“It’s definitely a compliment to be called that. She’s really taken me under her wing,” said Siegrist. “She gives me advice and tells me to be more aggressive on the court. That has really helped my confidence and my adjustment definitely.”“Even though I didn’t get a lot of playing time coming in , I was being very patient.

Howard also spends her time as a stepmom to 13-year-old Prince, and she enjoys playing video games, making beats and cooking in her downtime. She even makes S’mores and cooks lasagna for the Wings.
