The UK Meteor Network reported more than 35 sightings with the first sighting at 9pm. The out of this world spectacular was also captured on camera by scores of people in Northern Ireland.
Quick-thinking Joe McNeill from Dunmurry in West Belfast posted incredible footage of it crossing over his house and kindly shared it with Belfast Live.
