One person is dead after a Northamptonshire M1 crash involving three lorries, three cars and a van. The incident happened just after midnight on Thursday on the northbound carriageway between junction 15 and 15a.
Multiple vehicles were involved in a collision and one person died as a result. The M1 was closed for several hours with motorists asked to avoid the area, although the motorway was closed northbound between J15a and J16 due to planned roadworks. A spokesperson for Northamptonshire Police said: "Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have dash-cam footage of the actual collision or the vehicle prior to the incident."Anyone with information is asked to email [email protected] or alternatively call the Drivewatch Hotline on 0800 174615 or Northamptonshire Police on 101. The force posted about the incident on Facebook, with many leaving tributes in the comments. One said: "So sorry for the loss of a life. Hope the other people are ok."
