A Rangers-daft singer has said the new interim manager is 'one of the best'.
Callum Beattie congratulated his good friend Steven Davis on his new role in the club which was announced after the sacking of Michael Beale.
The Salamander Street hitmaker, 33, shared a photo of the pair at one of his recent concerts and shared his thoughts on the appointment. "The call came out of the blue, I certainly wasn’t expecting it. I would just like to try and repay the trust the club have shown in putting me in this position. "Obviously it’s not a position we’d like to be in, we’re disappointed with where we’re at, at this minute in time. But I’m looking forward to the challenge."In a heartfelt goodbye post shared on his social media channels, he said:"Now is the time for everyone to unite fully behind Steven Davis and the team in the coming games.
"There is still so much to play for this season and I have a strong belief in this group of players. Thank you and good luck.
