Only Fools and Horses fans have been discussing an iconic joke from the series that has left some viewers puzzled. In a Reddit thread, one viewer asked for clarification on a quip from the first episode of the BBC show.
Another fan came to the rescue, explaining: "A hod is a tool used on building sites to carry multiple bricks at once, it is typically slung over the shoulder. Del comments based on what Trig is wearing that carrying a briefcase looks more suspicious than carrying a package." One fan commented: "'There's no heavy lifting involved' - Albert in Frog's Legacy. Presuming he was taking the mick out of Rodney's very limited work experience?"
They explained: "'Curriculum vitae', which Albert mistakes as a Latin name for a back injury or a part of your spine e.g. cervical vertebrae," a revelation that amused the original commenter, who said: "Oh is it? That's rather clever!"
