Applications for the 2020 series of Love Island are now open just days after Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea became winners of the fifth series.

Of the original line-up, only Amy Hart, 26, Michael Griffiths, 27, and Joe Garratt, 22, applied for the show via the advertised process.View gallery Casa Amor sensation Ovie Soko, 28, also submitted his own application to the show. The number was confirmed by ITV’s chief executive Dame Carolyn McCall as she gave evidence at the Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Committee’s inquiry into reality TV.

Series winners Amber, 21, and Greg, 24, were scouted by producers, as was 20 year old Sherif Lanre — who was booted out of the villa after just nine days.
