Net migration to the UK for the 12 months to June 2023 was revised to 906,000, up from the previously reported 740,000. The ONS attributes the changes to more complete data and improved estimation methods, particularly for people arriving from outside the EU.
However, concerns have been raised about the quality of the data supplied by the ONS to the Bank of England and the accuracy of its immigration figures, especially regarding Ukrainian migrants.
