'Finishing touches' were being made to the £10 million store
The opening date for Northamptonshire's newest Sainsbury's store has been announced. The branch, in Cockerel Rise, Desborough, near Kettering, is located within 200m of four bus stops and 126 vehicles can fit in its car park.
The company said the store would open at 9am on Tuesday, February 7, following a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the launch. The shop is one of Sainsbury’s 'Neighbourhood Hubs'. The company said such 'hubs' were between a Sainsbury’s convenience store and its bigger supermarkets in size, and that they aimed to offer product ranges which enabled customers to buy "everything they need to complete a weekly shop locally".
