Opposition raised Sky News host Cheng Lei's treatment by Chinese officials directly with Premier Li Qiang
“It came after the Chinese leadership was saying to the Opposition that the relationship between Australia and China had to be based on respect, and mutual respect,” Mr Clennell said.“There was no verbal response from the Chinese leadership to that.” However, when asked about the incident later, the Prime Minister claimed he had not been"aware" of the attempted blocking, adding only that"people be allowed to participate fully" in democratic processes.
