The duchess has a fan in Oprah.
The 65-year-old met the soon-to-be mum after teaming up with her hubbyAnd it seems that while the pair were enjoying secret meetings to arrange their new project, the talk show host was introduced to the American princess – and they’ve been pals every since.
Chatting about her first impressions of the former actress, when on CBS This Morning, Oprah insisted that Meghan is being portrayed ‘unfairly’She said: ‘[Meghan] is not only everything that we perceive of her as being – graceful and dynamic in holding that position – but she just has a wonderful, warm, giving, loving heart.’
Gayle King, who was hosting the show at the time, added: ‘She’s very kind. She doesn’t seem to buy into [her bad press] though.’ And it seems Oprah was impressed by Meghan’s resilience as she then went on to praise the 37-year-old.‘She actually does not read anything, which I find, you know remarkable,’ the media executive said.Oprah then went on to chat about teaming up with the Duke of Sussex, and explained the idea came about when they were discussing what issues the world was facing right now.
And she sure didn’t mess around, as the star took him up on this immediately by pitching her docuseries.
