An old piece of furniture that was to be scrapped was the unlikely hiding place for an autograph book full of popular 60s musicians – including the original Rolling Stones lineup.
These included the original Rolling Stones lineup of Keith Richards, Mick Jagger, Bill Wyman, Charlie Watts and Brian Jones. The book was found by astonished staff at Potters Auction Salesroom in Scunthorpe, and it will go under the hammer on Thursday. Auctioneer Paul Potter said: “The little secretaire came from one of our regular vendors who acquired it in a job lot that he bought from a London house clearance specialist.
