The Lord of the Rings enjoyed a night out in Liverpool city centre while meeting up for a reunion after Comic Con
Hollywood stars, Orlando Bloom , Elijah Wood, Billy Boyd, Sean Astin and Dom Monaghan, all known for their roles in Peter Jackson's film trilogy were pictured inside a city centre restaurant. Posting to Instagram, Dom, who plays Merry in the films, shared a picture of the reunion between the Hobbit and Elf, Orlando.
The actors had spent the day meeting fans at Comic Con, in the ACC Liverpool. On Friday, May 3, ahead of their appearances at the convention, the stars were also spotted having a drink and something to eat at Belzan, on Smithdown Road. Elijah Wood, who played Frodo Baggins in the hit fantasy film series, landed in Liverpool early on Friday and shared a video message to his fans ahead of Comic Con. He said: "Hi, Elijah here, I am in Liverpool and I can't wait to see you all tomorrow at Comic Con."
This year Comic Con Liverpool was billed as a huge reunion of the Lord of the Rings cast, with Orlando Bloom, Elijah Wood, Andy Serkis, Sean Astin, Dominic Monaghan and Billy Boyd set to attend. However, the event has sadly seen another star pull out at last minute, which has caused some fans to fit out. It was announced in the early hours of today that Bernard Hill is unable to attend Comic Con due to his partner being ill.
