Oscar Bobb has been a standout player for Manchester City during pre-season and is now ready to fight for his place in Pep Guardiola's first team
Manchester City's Oscar Bobb is ready to fight for a first-team spot now that Julian Alvarez is following Cole Palmer out the door at the Etihad.
With Palmer's move to Chelsea last season and Alvarez heading to Atletico Madrid this summer, Bobb's chances of regular game time this season look likely, even if he isn't in the starting line-up regularly. "To know I'm going to be here at the Club until 2029 means everything to me. I just want to focus on continuing to further my development and work as hard as I can every day to try and help Club achieve more success."
Indeed, if a new contract wasn't proof enough of his commitment to City, his comments during their Stateside tour certainly are. Bobb said: "I think playing for this manager has always been a dream. If I have to wait a bit longer to get more playing time, I don't mind."
