Former Paralympian Oscar Pistorius has reportedly started a new romantic relationship just months after being released on parole from prison.
The horrific incident, which occurred on Valentine’s Day in 2013, shocked the world. Pistorius claimed he mistook Reeva for an intruder and fired multiple shots through a locked bathroom door, killing her instantly with specialized "dum-dum" bullets. However, her family has always insisted the killing was intentional.
According to reports from respected South African outlet Netwerk24, Pistorius is now in a relationship with Rita Greyling, a 33-year-old business management consultant from Wakkerstroom, Mpumalanga, and a long-time family friend. Sources close to the couple have confirmed their romantic involvement, though both are keeping the details private, says the Mirror.
Since his release, Pistorius has been living in a cottage on the grounds of his multi-millionaire uncle Arnold’s fortified mansion in Pretoria. He is reportedly avoiding public places and trying to reintegrate into society discreetly, focusing on volunteer work at a local Dutch Reformed Church. A source close to Pistorius shared, “He’s trying to rebuild his life in a low-key way, avoiding bars and public attention. For the past three months, the word has been that he’s dating again.
