The council leader took a stand against the words of the town's former MP
Rochdale ’s council leader Coun Neil Emmott was met with thunderous cheers this week as he declared: “This council is not corrupt”.

Coun Liam O’Rourke pointed out that even though Labour, his own political party, are now in government, where there are problems it is still their job to highlight them and sort them out.
