The couple have been left disappointed
A pregnant woman has been left fuming after she chose to keep her child's name tight-lipped - only for a close family member to use it for their new puppy. The woman shared her anger on the popular forum site Reddit.
The mum-to-be captioned the post: "FML - close family member just named their new puppy with our baby name." She explained: "Just like the title said. "I've seen stories like this but never thought I would be here. They got the first and middle name, spelling exactly how we were planning. We haven't publicly announced the name."The only people that we told are the grandparents. Both mom and mother-in-law are not known for an ability to keep secrets, though it has been sworn up and down that the name was not leaked."At this point, I'm leaning towards just using it anyway.
Since sharing her story, the woman's post has raked in more than 240 comments - where people encouraged her to continue using the name, reports the Mirror. One person advised: "This is obvious to you and your immediate family, but in the span of the baby's life and all the people they'll meet, almost no one will know this."
Sharing their own experience, a second wrote: "When we got a cat a few years ago, my single sister at the time was a little disappointed to hear the name because it's one she wanted to use in the future. I told her she should feel free to use it still because almost no one else beside our family will know the cat and baby share a name.READ NEXT:
