Broadway is a jewel in Nottingham's cinematic crown, showing everything from the latest blockbuster to lesser-known world films in screen rooms with stripy Paul Smith seats. The independent Hockley cinema was named one of the 50 best in the UK and Ireland by TimeOut last year.
The menu has plenty of crowd-pleasing dishes, from sharing platters with charcuterie and cheese, to pizzas named after classic films like Roman Holiday , the Italian Job with mozzarella and basil) and Sunset Boulevard . The black base certainly adds to the striking appearance. Eating a hard shell taco is always a gamble, with the risk of the filling falling out. These three in front of me are pretty full so I'm not going to take a chance on dropping it down my flowery orange frock.
The beef isn't mind-blowingly hot so if you're an amateur chilli head, you will be safe. Personally I could have handled it hotter but then I'm a pro when it comes to working my way up the Scoville Scale, but the Mexican combo was delectable nonetheless.
