Annapurna Interactive has announced timeloop-twisting puzzler Outer Wilds will be heading to Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 in September.
will be heading to Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 in September.. This release will include native 60FPS support, and owners of the game on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 get a free upgrade. The game’s recent Echoes of the Eye expansion will also be available for both platforms. Lovely stuff.
If you’re not familiar, the game puts you as a space bound adventurer exploring a mini-solar system. However, a cataclysmic event destroys this little pocket-universe in just 22 minutes. Thanks to some timey-wimey weirdness, however, you find yourself back at the start of this timeloop, trying to stop the destruction. Along the way, you’ll find out why it’s happening and just maybe uncover some other mysteries along the way.
