Yes, the television show features snippets of real-life events, such as the Jacobite Rebellion and the Battle of Culloden. But given that it also features time-travelling sacred stones that allow its main characters Claire and Jamie to zip back and forth in time like some kind of Scottish Marty McFlys,isn’t always the most reliable source. It’s not going to become part of school curriculum anytime soon, let’s put it that way.
“I’m not sure I’m ready for this,” Heughan wrote on his Instagram. “But it’ll be an adventure!” McTavish added: “Stay tuned for a lot of fun, history, landscape and kilts.” Heughan and McTavish aren’t the only celebrities getting involved in the world of podcasting. Everyone from Alec Baldwin to Anna Faris, Russell Brand to Jonathan Van Ness and David Tennant to Dax Shepard are all keen podcasters.
