Fans of the hit series 'Outlander' have expressed their emotional distress following the intense episode 'Written In My Heart’s Own Blood', in which Claire is shot during a war scene. The uncertainty surrounding her fate and Jamie's frantic efforts to save her have left viewers reeling, with many taking to social media to declare they need therapy after the harrowing experience.

In the scene, fans are not sure whether it is Jamie or Claire who has been hit with a bullet but ultimately we see blood pour from Claire's side and Jamie springs into action in a bid to save her.
