Outlander lead Sam Heughan won't be returning for the second season of The Couple Next Door, the sultry romantic thriller that set UK viewers alight last year.
The next instalment will introduce audiences to an entirely new group of characters, starring The Split's Annabel Scholey at the forefront. Heughan remained tight-lipped regarding the announcement but did recently post a video featuring Three Women's DeWanda Wise reacting enthusiastically to the trailer for the first season, suggesting its impending arrival on Starz.
Production is well underway in Belgium, with the new story unfolding in an environment reminiscent of the first season's classic cul-de-sac setting.
