Sam Heughan has suggested an improvement to a Scottish staple snack.
The Balmaclellan-born actor, 43, is best known for his role as Highland warrior Jamie Fraser in Outlander alongside his on-screen wife Claire played by Caitriona Balfe. In a new interview with First We Feast, Sam takes viewers through a selection of his favourite snacks with some Scots favourites thrown in for good measure.
The second clip shows the Scots star smashing a Tunnock's teacake with his fist, leaving a big portion of the gooey marshmallow covering his hand. He tells viewers: “You can crush it. Tastes like heaven. Like you’re on a really fluffy bed. Soft marshmallow. Sweet milk chocolate.” Sam continues pouring himself a dram of his Sassenach whisky, before the video cuts to him opening a bottle of Irn-Bru with a big cheer. However, the bottle sprays everywhere as he mutters: “Oh Jesus Christ.”
