Detectives are investigating a high-value burglary in London's Primrose Hill where over £10 million worth of jewellery was stolen, including bespoke pieces from renowned designers.
Detectives are appealing to the public for information after more than £10m of jewellery was stolen in a London burglary. The jewellery was taken from a home in the Primrose Hill area of Camden, north London , on Saturday 7 December between 5pm and 5.30pm, according to the Metropolitan Police. Officers believe the intruder entered the property via a second-floor window and escaped with £150,000 worth of Hermès Crocodile Kelly handbags, £15,000 in cash and £10.4m of bespoke jewellery.
The suspect is described as a white male in his late twenties or thirties, of medium build, who was wearing a dark hoodie, cargo pants and a grey baseball cap and whose face was covered during the break-in. Among the stolen items were several bespoke pieces, including a 10.73-carat diamond ring and two butterfly diamond rings from De Beers. From Hermès the house had a 3.03-carat ring, aquamarine ring and “Niloticus Lumière” necklace stolen. The robber also took a clip from the luxury jeweller Van Cleef & Arpels that included gold, diamonds and sapphires, the “Fleur des Mers” ring featuring diamonds, sapphires and aquamarines, as well as a platinum bracelet and necklace collection from 1978. Other parts of the stolen collection include pink sapphire earrings shaped like butterflies from the boutique London jeweller Katherine Wang, diamond earrings from Chopin and two bracelets from Chrome Hearts jewellery. Detective Constable Paulo Roberts from the Central North Basic Command Unit, who is investigating the burglary, called the robbery a “brazen offence” and added that given the uniqueness of the jewellery, much of the items stolen are “easily identifiable”.“We urge anyone who was in the area of Avenue Road, NW8, and saw anything suspicious to please come forward
