A total of 11,363 individuals cleared two sets of police examinations administered by the National Police Commission (Napolcom) at 30 designated testing centers nationwide in June, the Napolcom said on Thursday.
Of the total, 5,641 of the 27,908 aspirants or 20.21 percent passed the Philippine National Police Entrance Examination .Meanwhile, 5,722 candidates or 57.50 percent of the 9,951 in-service police officers who took the PNP Promotional Examinations passed.
The 5,722 police officers who will be promoted are classified as follows: 60 for the Police Officer 1st Class Examination for Police Major and Police Lieutenant Colonel; 231 for the Police Officer 2nd Class Examination for Police Lieutenant and Police Captain; 3,099 for the Police Officer 3rd Class Examination, covering Police Master Sergeant, Police Senior Master Sergeant, Police Chief Master Sergeant, and Police Executive Master Sergeant; and 2,332 for the Police Officer 4th Class Examination...
